March 2020 Announcements

In light of the growing concern about the novel coronavirus (or COVID-19), we would like to assure all of our families in Ames Child Care Center, we are monitoring the Santa Clara County Office of Education recommendations for public schools. 

Considering the current developments regarding the Coronavirus, please let ACCC know if you have recently traveled out of the country or have plans to travel in the near future. ACCC is following the Santa Clara Public Health and the Center for Disease Control’s policy on travel overseas.

Please check the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department’s website for more information.

Furthermore, we continue to have the facility professionally cleaned every night, and office staff wipe down common surfaces throughout the lobby and at the front desk multiple times throughout the day. The best method of curtailing the spread of the disease continues to be hand washing, which we suggest you have your child do when you drop off and pick up. 

As always, we ask if your child is sick, especially with a fever, vomit, or any other illness listed in our policies that require you to keep your children at home.

Upcoming March Schedule 

  • 03/11/2020 (Wed.) – ACCC closes at 5pm for Staff Meeting
  • 03/16/2020 (Mon.) – Amici’s Fundraiser from 11:30am – 9pm (More info)
  • 03/20/2020 (Fri.)  – Parents Night Out, 6:00 pm-10:00 pm, $40 per child 
  • 03/28/2020 (Sat.) – Parent Work Day, 9am to 2pm (Volunteers needed. If you would like to participate, please let us know.) 

Center Wide Announcements

  1. We may not be able to send the ledger for a couple of weeks. We are working with NASA to resolve the issue.
  2.  If you would like to know your volunteer work hours, please contact Claire.
  3. We are in the process of cleaning out our shed and need volunteers during the week. If you are not able to participate during Parent work day and would like to earn volunteer hours, please contact Claire.
  4. Remember to upload your volunteer hours and let me know if you have any questions.
