Dear ACCC parents and staff,
Time flies! November went by fast and we hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving holiday.
This Friday, Dec. 6, is the ACCC annual Holiday Party.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the party! The party will be hosted in your child’s own classroom due to the weather. Please feel free to mingle with other classrooms if you would like. We will need several volunteers to help set up the party. Please sign up on the volunteer sheets if you are available to help out during the party.
We switched December Parents Night Out to Dec. 7 (Sat) for Parents Day Out for parents to have time to attend the NASA holiday party and do some holiday shopping. The time for Parents Day Out is from 10am to 4:30pm. Lunch and snack will be provided to the children. Please sign up in the office lobby if you would like to participate.
There are several events in December. Please add the events to your calendar and let us know if you have any questions.

Amazon Smile
The holiday shopping season has arrived! If you would like to shop at Amazon, remember to go to “amazon smile” where it donates a portion of the purchase price to Ames Child Care Center. This is a great way to automatically support ACCC – at no additional cost to you! 🙂

Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC)
ACCC has partnered with Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) for more fundraising opportunities.
Scrip programs provide discounted products and services to nonprofit organizations, such as the ACCC. Those savings are passed onto us, which help in funding new facilities and making our children’s daycare experience even better!
You can purchase gift cards via the Scrip Program. GLSC offers a huge variety of gift cards, ranging from department stores (Walmart, T.J. Max, Marshalls, J.C Penny, Kohl’s, Nordstrom & Macy’s etc.) to dining (Outback Steakhouse, Maggiano’s) to entertainment (Dave & Busters, AMC) to universal prepaid gift cards! Please see the order form for a selection of retailers.
To order, just fill in the order form, and place payment (cash or check) with the form into the box at the office. Please contact the office with questions regarding GLSC.
Benevity Fundraising
ACCC has partnership with the Benevity program. For parents who currently work at Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Honda, ADP, Cocacola, etc., when you do any volunteer work or donate to ACCC, your company will match your donation to ACCC.
